The Process

Three steps from event to fraud decision

Instrument your platform, send behavioral events, and receive a trust score in real time. Karma3 works alongside your existing checkout and auth flows without adding user-facing friction.

Step One

Instrument your platform with the Karma3 SDK

Add the Karma3 JavaScript SDK to your frontend. It begins capturing behavioral signals immediately: mouse movement, keypress cadence, navigation path, scroll behavior, and form-fill timing. Server-side SDKs capture backend signals like login events, API call patterns, and transaction metadata.

Instrumentation is additive. Your existing auth and checkout flows do not change. The SDK runs in the background and streams events to the Karma3 ingestion endpoint.

  • JavaScript SDK for frontend behavioral capture
  • Node.js, Python, Go, and Ruby server libraries
  • Webhook integration for event push
  • Data residency options: US or EU
02

Step Two

Request a trust score at any decision point

At any friction point in your flow, call the Karma3 score endpoint with the user and session identifiers. The API aggregates all accumulated behavioral signals and returns a 0-100 trust score with a verdict recommendation.

Call the endpoint at multiple points in a session. Each call incorporates the full behavioral history from that session, so a score at checkout includes signals captured during browsing and authentication.

  • Score at login, checkout, payout, or any custom event
  • Signal history accumulates across the session
  • Structured JSON with verdict + signal weights
  • 99.4% uptime target, included in Scale plan agreements

Step Three

Route decisions based on the trust score

Use the trust score and verdict to route users into three outcome paths. High-trust users move through checkout without added steps. Mid-range scores trigger lightweight additional verification. Low-trust events are flagged for review or blocked before they complete.

Your team sets the threshold values. You can tune them independently by event type: a checkout threshold can differ from a payout threshold. Karma3 provides the score; your platform retains the decision authority.

  • Three-path routing: allow, review, deny
  • Per-event-type threshold configuration
  • Webhook callbacks for async review queue
  • Audit log with signal detail for every scored event
